If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Are any other Enbrel users having recurring joint pain and stiffness after taking it for a while? This was a wonder drug for me when I started using it 12 months ago. Now it looks like the honeymoon is over. I managed to drive to school today, but when I slid down out of the van, I found I couldn't walk. It probably didn't help matters any having the temps this morning in the single digits. Spent most of the day in the wheelchair. I've been having some trouble walking since right before Christmas, and finally had to dust off my wheels. Luckily, it was in the back of the van, and my son was there to help me. (Had semester finals today, or I would have stayed home wrapped up in my electric blanket.) My iritis has also flared up. No doubt it is related. My undx'd IB is also going overtime. I'm not sure if my troubles are from the Enbrel no longer working, my FMS or just plain orneriness. Maybe it's just a combination, but there is no doubt that the joint pain is back with a vengence. The morning stiffness that was a thing of the past is now up to 3-4 hours. I've lost a lot of ground in just a few weeks. Does anyone have any insight into what may be happening? Hugs, Cindy Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.
Hugs,
Cindy

HI Cindy, Sorry to hear that your getting immuned to Enbrel. I have only been on it for three months. You are right, I can sleep better and do not have the pain and stiffness. I have not gotten Iritis either. I hope my body does not get immuned to Enbrel. God help us all.. Dan

I think I spoke too soon. My right eye is starting to turn red....like maybe Iritis...I hope not, but I am going to start dropping my Prednisolone Acetate Ophthalmic solution. I am calling my doctor monday for an appointment. I don't have the pressure pain. It's dry and red and just hurt. Especially when I read, computer or tv seeing. I just hope its not the treathed Iritis... Dan

Maybe Sjorden's Syndrome? I've had iritis for years and years. But this last attack presented differently. I let mine go about a week before I got it checked, and there were just a few rare cells. If the PredForte helps you, it probably is iritis. Good luck. Hugs, Cindy Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

Wow! I didn't know that people will be immuned from Enbrel. My husband has been on Enbrel for a month. So far his conditions have been under control (which is a good news).
Finally he's off from Methotrexate... The current blood test shows that his liver has "mild" problem. The doc now orders him not to take INH for two weeks and see if the test result will improve.
Thanks, Mandy
P.S. Sorry, it's my first ever posting here at KickAS. Still trying to adopt the norm here.

Hi, Mandy, And welcome to KickAS! I don't know whether people develop immunity to Enbrel or not. I'm just asking to see if anyone else may have heard about this. I've been on Enbrel for a year and it has truly been a miracle for me. I felt the effects of it right away. What I'm going through now may just be a weird flare. I'm glad your husband was able to get off methotrexate, it's hard on the liver. Other than what I'm gong through now, I have had no side effects from Enbrel. Post on the main forum; more will see your post and respond. Hugs, Cindy Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.
Hugs,
Cindy

Hi Betty I ran into the exact same thing with Eric. See if this will work for you. Instead of the Enbrel coming through the prescription portion of the insurance it comes through the medical portion. Meaning, it is the same thing as if you went to the doctor for a shot. Best thing about it is this......NO CO-PAY!!! Give me a shout if you have any questions. I will be more than happy to help you get around the stinkin insurance companies....I fought for months to get Eric his meds before I found this out. If I can save someone else the time and tears then it is a beautiful thing...... Lori
