I have had AS for over 30 years and I have never had anysort of remission ever. I always have pain going on somewhere neck,back,chest,ribs,knees etc you all know what I mean. It seems to like to move around. I asked my Rheumy about burning out and he said that some people never burn out.....But I will say one thing my lower back is flat like an ironing board but I,ve noticed my sac joints and lower back don't seem to bother me as much, but is that burnout or is it because my upper back and breastbone have really been getting my attention as of late. So the Question is has anyone else had permanent flareup.
