Goodness Connie! Please don't apologise for not replying sooner. I can't believe how far behind I am on e-mails and PMs and the like!
Thank you for your warm welcome, and for your advice on my first landing on the east side of the pond. I was terribly concerned that it would all go horribly wrong - that there may have been some form that I was supposed to fill out but didn't, etc, etc (you can imagine how my mind ran away on me perhaps). Regardless, it was one of the smoothest conversations I had through passport control. And for once, the non-EU passport line was shorting that the EU/UK one! Halleujah! In fact, after answering a question or two about where I was going to live and how Loz was employed, I actually got a SMILE

from the passport control lady. Will wonders never cease!
Thanks again Connie, truly, it was wonderful to have knowledge of someone else who had recently made such a move. Us transplanted North Americans have to stick together, even if only in a virtual sense.
Would love to see some photos of your new home and countryside, if you ever get a chance.
Hugs,
Jeanna
