"When you did have iritis, did any of the infection get passed over to the eyelids as well?"
As I understand uveitis/iritis, it's not an infection (although it can be brought on by an infection). Rather, it's inflammation (in the case of iritis, inflammation of the iris). I think of it as arthritis of the eye. Hence the muscle relaxant (dilation drops) and steroid treatment (prednisone).
Just thought I'd clear that up. If you'll excuse the rather circuitous pun.
