Thanks for that. I did look briefly at it some time ago but decided probiotic made life a lot easier. However, they are v expensive as you say!
Will let people know if I find a good systemic enzyme. These are different to digestive enzymes in that they are taken inbetween meals so are not supposed to be for digestion. They work on the premise of leaky gut syndrome - releasing large protein molecules and immune complexes into the bloodstream. The idea is that they break down these complexes meaning they cannot reach their target organ and cause damage. They have a long history of use particularly in Germany and Europe in inflammatory disorders among other things. The saurkraut would not replace these in this case but may well be a great option for my apalling digestion!!
