Michelle, I identify so much with the not being able to get ready. My wonderful beautiful mother-in-law had been with us at the last before she died. I loved that lady so much. When she died and we took her back "home" for the service and burial, I got there with nothing for me. No dress, no shoes, no unmentionables, nada. It was like I just wasn't going to do that. I wore one of my s-i-l's dresses but did have to go buy shoes so I wouldn't wear tennies and of course, other things. I think I was in complete denial that I was going to bury her.

I really know how you were feeling. A strange feeling of "It's not happening."

I have thought of you so much that I kind of feel the same relief that you were talking about. I think having the struggles with the Lupus for so many years myself has made me identify with your Mom and losing our parents, I identified with you.
