How long have you had AS: diagnosed for almost 5 years, probably had it for about 10 years
Where did you start to fuse first: My neck is what has started fusing.
How old were you when you first started getting symptoms: I think I was about 15 when I first started noticing issues.

Hard to tell, generally being in one position for too long and not moving the whole body, ie. doing just one kind of movement for too long.

How long have you had AS:
diagnosed in 2003

Possi, sorry it's been so long, been of the web since last Thurs. We just got home from a visit to my son and his wife in Grand Junction Co. It was 65 degrees in Blackhawk Co. yesterday afternoon when we left there. It was 100 or so when we got home this afternoon. We had some nice rains earlier this summer but no flooding, and now we are beginning to get a little dry . I am going to drag the sprinkler out tonight, and start on the lawn and garden. We used to have several Okies here, but I think you and I are the only active ones right now. Teddi from the OKC area was an earlier poster, and made a return a yr. or so ago for a little while.

What has caused you the most pain: SI joints, rib cage and upper back, hands(mostly left) right heel and ankle. Sorry, it's hard to nail it down to one.

How long have you had AS: Diagnosed January 2006, medical records suggest I had it in 1989

Where did you start to fuse first: I haven't fused, although I have sclerosis at L5-S1, osteophytes in my thoracics(among other places), facet arthropathy at C3,4,and 5 ; and a reversal of normal cervical lordosis. I also have mild dextro scoliosis.

How old were you when you first started getting symptoms: I know I had the symptoms back to 1989 which would have made me 33 years old. Five or six years before that I had chronic colitis problems which may have been associated with the AS
