I'm glad and relieved to read this. Thank you for hanging in there. You are needed and appreciated by many of us here.

This is a bad time for you, and I know you are having trouble seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. I don't want to sound superficial, but I want to say HANG IN THERE . Find someone to help you through this, and do what ever you need to do to make it. Believe me, that light at the end of the tunnel is not a train!

You had better keep posting here, or your going to cause a lot of people added anxiety that they don't need. Come on Oak, don't give up now!

sure give me a guilt complex now by making everyone have anxiety attack over me being quiet to long......ive cooled down now.....me and the wife actually talked i aint goin anywhere and she is going to try and not yell at me or put me down anymore....and my posting i did on myspace woke my whole family up hehehe i found out who told my wife about what the doc told me and stuff...it was my sister...she eased dropped when me and my youngest daughter was talking about it,,,my youngest is my confidant and i am hers......she has always been there for me.....so i guess this means ya all are stuck with me for a bit longer...besides my scooter aint working so i cant go anywhere anyway.......thank you all for your prayers and your strength im not 100% better but since i started smoking again its a wee bit better....oak

Good to see that at least you two are talking, even a little is great. Your sis was probably thinking she was doing the right thing, and it just went sideways. You and Mrs Oak, need too realize going in that this is not going to fix its self over night, there heve been some serious trust issues that have been bruised. It looks like the old scooter taking a dump, was someone's way of telling you that you were going anywhere and that things weregoing to work out in the end. So take it one little step at a time, and communicate. If a smoke helps calm the nerves, what the heck. That is a monster you can face after you get this big one taken care of..

I am glad you are still with us Oak. you have a bug family here.

I'm glad to hear that things are better, even if it is just a little bit. You can't expect things to be instantly wonderful overnight, but it sounds like you cleared the air some, and that's a good start.

I wouldn't normally encourage someone to smoke, but if that's what's going to get you through this, then do what you've gotta do.

Just remember that you can come here anytime and vent. We're always here for you.

I don't know you as well as everyone else, but I do know this. I was at the exact spot 2 years ago, that you are now. I lost my husband, home, income and independence. But through faith I persevered and I believe that I am a better and stronger person than I was before. Some days suck, but I found positive and upbuilding people and I surrounded myself with them. I also found strength through God and it doesn't get any better than that. I know that you will find a way to work through this and you will be a better man for fighting the fine fight.

Hi Oak,
So sorry to hear what you are going through. I bet it is tough to have any problems when you are suffering with the AS monster.
But you have to be strong, Always remember there are a lot of people out there that are much worse off than you are.
Just tell yourself I can beat this, I refuse to let this monster plus any other problems win over me. Just say I may be down but I am not out.
Stay with this group, you know you always have our support.
You will be in my daily prayers.
