Jay,
Hi. I have an opinion, that world wide travel is connecting us to the diseases that used to be left in the most rural areas, where poor folk have to live with thier animals. Now such coughs, and germs can be spread in one day to someone flying to the US of A.
a pandemic will come because of this what ya think?

Hi Michelle,

Hopefully the antibiotics start working. Anything with Promethazine puts me out for hours, but that's probably what you need right now. Get better soon.

Hi Tamara, I've never been asked to get a pneumonia vaccination, I wonder if the vaccine is effective against all strains of pneumonia, because I know there's viral pneumonia and then there's bacterial pneumonia....I don't know, but I will ask my doctor about it for future reference, thanks....

Hi Lon...no, I'm not feeling better just yet, close though, it's just around the corner, I feel it in my bones.. I agree with your global travel/pandemic theory, H5N1 is what I worry about the most, that old bird flu....

Lon, I concur. Whether it be avian flu or some sort of other pandemic, it's on the horizon.

Michelle, do hope you feel better. A five hour nap is not nearly enough! Rest as much as you can. Take care.

Kind Regards,
Jay

Michelle - Vaccine agin ALL phneumonias. No. The vaccine can only guard agin the three major strains that were around the year prior. So, in effect, they are working about two years behind. Same with the flu vaccines. Imposs to cover all strains. Also there is viral and bacterial. Quite different. But do ask yuor doctor, he should have the complete time of day. Info might even come up in a Google search.

Hope you continue to feel better and that the antibiotics kick in quickly. Nasty stuff phneumonia. Plenty of REST lass. Most important. And fluids. Also, as on antibiotics, ensure you take plain yogurt to replace the good flora in the gut that the antibiotics will kill off! Take care hon -
