Welcome to this Amazing Place! I agree with you on that. I am glad you found us and hope you will come back often so we can get acquainted.

I think all of us as parents/grandparents can identify with your feelings of being concerned for your children. So far out of 3 and 4 grands, we only have 1 who is having problems. Her diagnoses are Lupus and RA as of now.

Blessings.

Welcome! I have a 10 yo with issues starting at age 2... but recently found she was gluten sensitive (among other things such as minerals, calcium, grapes, cukes, ....) and we've gotten her allergies straightened out and her pain is gone! I'm going thru allergy elimination too and have a TON of sensitivities that are affecting my joints.

it is very concerning for us parents to see potential suffering in our family. Hang in there and I'm glad to see the no starch diet working for you!

Thanks Trudi. I just want to be aware and not paranoid, if you understand what I mean. So far both of my kids are healthy and strong and hopefully it will stay that way. Take care

Hello and welcome. I was dx two years ago and still fight it. My kids are grown but it is still hard on them to see mom this way. Talk to your kids and be honest with them. Explain the disease and the treatment. Have them help your with streches and exercises. That way they don't feel helpless. They will feel like part of the treatment.

Thanks PattyD. I am honest with my kids, almost about everything. I just don't want to put any suggestions in their innocent minds that this may be their burden to carry one day... I will be aware and pray.
My daugther did some yoga with me and that is something we should do more often. We did laugh a lot, as it was so difficult for me to get down to the carpet, turn around and get up again. All I could do is to laugh about it. (I did a lot of aerobics when I was younger.) At the moment I don't do any exercises.... which is no good.
I am still fighting as well. All of the best to you too!
Take care
