If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Just curious if there may be a connection with others out there... Humira has done wonders for mobility, I must say. Pain still in lower back knees and feet and hand and neck. Beyond this I often find that I just want to sleep and not care for the things I need to tend to. Could it be the seasonal change. Could it be "environmental"? Could the cymbalta not be working anymore? Could this just be another level of AS? Could it be fatigue from the chronicness of it all? Any one else experience this? Am I nuts? I just don't feel like doing much. Thanks, Lucy

hi lucy: i know exactly what you mean. i feel that exact same way too. i'm on remicade and 2400 mg ibuprofen a day to help control the pain and it helps a lot but.... i believe everything just catches up with us: pain, fatigue and then my mind and body just doesn't want to do anything and takes a time out. eventually it passes after resting a couple of days. hope you feel back to your normal self soon. aloha, leslie http://islandtails.honadvblogs.com/

Hi Lucy! I can't really answer your questions but I wanted to let you know that you are not alone. I have battled this for the last few years. For me, I have just finally decided to own it- just like the AS.
Be sure to mention it to your doctor- I have had atleast two meds that made it much worse.
Hang in there- vent anytime you like- pm me if you ever just want someone to chat with.
Anna

Thank you Lesie and Anna ,
I know I'm a little nuts, though. Instead of doing so much and so many things , I have to decide to fish or cut bait.
Perhaps I've reached that point where I must resolve to do less. Too many projects, deadlines, activities and of course having to meet expectations.
What a mess!
Thank you both for at least making me feel I am not alone in this ;>} Lucy

i do think it could be a number of things. when i was younger, i'd get like that each month from PMS. i also used to get what felt like seasonal depression but instead of it being in the winter, it would be in the fall. one or two months, my PMS would be especially bad. whenever i get sick, all i want to do is sleep, and then i'll get sick and realize what it is. as others have said, medications can do all kinds of strange things to us. and as you suggested, after awhile, it all gets so old, and we just don't feel like soldiering on anymore. think everyone needs a break now and then. but trying to sort out the root of problems can be hard at times. just be kind to yourself as you try to sort it out

No you are definitely not nuts, I'm exactly the same, I have been for months now. Extremely sad & tired. To be honest I was wondering if it was just me as well. I also find it tireing trying to hide it from everybody. All I want to do is lock the doors, draw the blinds & take the phone off the hook. But I know that people would soon be knocking on the door & asking questions. This is all just to hard to explain to "healthy" people. So we put on our happy face & solder on. Hope things pick up for both of us soon. Mez

Hi Lucy! Your not alone, I too feel the same in the weekend after a hard week at job and school....sometimes even to do simple things seems like a burden. In those times I feel the same..like I'm losing my mind, wasting time like a fool, I get depressed and I believe that is a psychological thing caused by the fact that we get tired of being sick and fighting more or less in vain.I try to push me a little more not physically but especial mentally so I could still be positive.I think that in my case the depression is my biggest enemy, and the only thing that can help me is to try to laugh as much as i can. Take care! Manny

As everyone else said.... not at all. I bet everyone of us here has had moments like this. I know for me the end of daylight savings means that the shorter colder days are approaching, and that puts me on edge a little. I am a spring junkie.... Also, the having too many things to do is a big one, and some of that is the expectation of being able to keep up with things as you used to do. When I first got savaged by the spondy monster it was right before Christmas. I resolved that there was no point putting lots of pressure on myself to do the usual sending of cards and baking up a storm. It was more important for me to be able to relax and enjoy spending the time with family and friends than meet these expectations I put on myself, and it made such a big difference. But it was a concious decission that I had to make. Maybe if you make a list of things that are really important to you and concentrate on those. Explain the situation to other people, as much as you feel comfortable, so they understand if there are things that are going to affect them. Learn to say no.... And last but not least, be kind to yourself.....
