If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

hi jan, i bought a juicer as a household xmas gift to myself and i've enjoyed it immensely. however, i'm new to the lsd/nsd (...and can't say that i'll ever make it to a strict nsd) so i juice citrus and other items that probably wouldn't be included in a lsd/nsd diet. i have almost yearly major uveitis flares so i always include carrots in my juicing.
the only negative about juicing is having to clean the machine afterwards..! : )

i have almost yearly major uveitis flares so i always include carrots in my juicing. FYI - carrots are starchy, be sure to test with iodine if you are NSD. I can only tolerate a few pieces of shredded carrots occasionally added to a salad, any more then that and I flare, so I avoid carrots for the most part.

Hey, would a store bought concord grape juice be safe for consumption while on the NSD diet?
It would not cause you to flare up right?

id iodine test the juice if your not sure of any starch content. grape juice wouldnt be a problem at all id imagine but test it, dont just take my guess as truth.

it would cause me to flare up (neck, back, shoulder inflammation causing pain and stiffness), because of the concentrated sugar content, and my issues with Candida.
it should be starch free and safe to consume otherwise.
but testing is the only way to tell for sure.

And i've read that calcium fortified juices are starchy even if the juice itself isn't - i used to by calcium fortified grape, not any more.
Just dawned on me you're talking abut juicing - so fortified wouldn't be an issue, doh, sorry bout that.
