Wow Cindy, I too am so sorry to hear that you have to go through so much. I am new here and don't get on too much but I have seen how strong and encouraging you have been for so many others here and I am encouraged by you as well. Please be well, take good care of yourself and let these precious friends of yours here carry you through the emotional side of things for a while. You need it. You are in my prayers and I hope things start going better instead of worse real soon!!

Cindy, You have had so much to deal with. Please know that you are in our prayers. I understand about not wanting another surgery. I have done that and it's not fun. You will get through this. Get some rest and so something special just for yourself.

Cindy

So sorry to hear all you are going through right now. I think it is alot to ask of yourself to drive 200 miles each way alone for these appointments.Could you find someone to take you? someone to talk to on the way there and back?? I don't think it is good for anyone to drive when they are emotionally drained. Well I know I have been guilty but not 400 miles worth.

Hope to see you here soon.

I can not defeat you but I will not let you win

Well gang, I'm finally home again and I must say I am so totally overwhelmed with this love and support here. You all mean so much to me and I hold you all close to my heart.
I am seriously considering cancelling my surgery. After a long talk with my hubby tonight and rehashing all the complications I get after all these surgeries, I don't think my body or my mental status can handle it. I just know that I wasn't this upset when I had to go in for my back surgery a few months ago so I think I'm just not ready to handle another one. I will take some time and talk to each of you over the next couple days. I just wanted to let you know I was home and will be getting back here.

Hi Cindy..
I'm hoping that if you decide to cancel or postpone the shoulder surgery that they won't give you a hard time about it. They should understand why if you tell them you aren't ready for it. After all, all of the things you've been through are going to take some time to get through. I wouldn't be ready if I had a back surgery a few months ago either. I'm sorry to hear the operations had to come with those complications too.
Take Care,
James

Hello Cindy,

Sorry to hear about the 2nd surgery of year. I recall my father crying when I must have been 4-5 years old when he told us he had to go back into hospital for 2nd back surgery before they figured out he had AS.

Pray that all goes well and all of this is behind you really soon. Hang in there.

Tim

Cindy,

I hope things go well for you. If you do have MS remember it is not the end, just a change. When I got the MS diagnosis it scared me to death. Maybe that is not a good way to put it. It really scared me. Then I thought of my family, and realized I had to adapt and keep moving forward. Once I could run again MS itself has not been a big problem. I do hate the MS medication that I take. It is like having the flu for a day once a week.

Good luck, and keep going.
