If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

After reading the various stories...not sure there is a textbook case. I thought mine was after initially not knowing anything about the disease and first hit with heel pain, costochondritis, eye issues. Later when a dr put it all together and I read up on it, I thought "textbook" case but it's so odd the order of symptoms seems to hit everyone differently and the actual rate of fusion evidence. What a confusicating disease!

Yep, plenty of other places hurt but have been less disabling than feet + si joints. After a couple decades of plantar fasciitis, the calcification at insertion points also now shows up on xray.

Yes Snowshoe, Voltaren Gel as well as Flector patches are all by prescription only. There are also the Lidoderm patches, also prescription. Your Dr. should be able to provide you with these. Maybe now that you are worst they will do a Rhizotomy on each side.

I have voltaren gel, its really nice with the ultrasound (I was getting it done at the PT so frequently, I finally bought my own, and my husband uses it on either my SI joint or neck / upper back depending on what is flaring. Ultrasound is another thing I think I forgot to mention that is pretty noninvasive and pretty useful.
But if I just want to put an anti-inflammatory topical creme on, my compounding pharmacist told me about a mixture that he makes up upon some doctors prescription requests and so I get it. Its much stronger than voltaren. Its KIP: 10% Ketoprofen, 10% Ibuprofen, 2% Piroxicam. I tend to use it on my neck the most because its much harder to ultrasound my neck (gotta be careful around the spine).
But yeh, I guess I do a lot of topical stuff: voltaren, KIP, ultrasound, flector, and Ice….whatever it takes…..
sue
Spondyloarthropathy, HLAB27 negative Humira (still methylprednisone for flares, just not as often. Aleve if needed, rarely.) LDN/zanaflex/flector patches over SI/ice vits C, D. probiotics. hyaluronic acid. CoQ, Mg, Ca, K. chiro walk, bike no dairy (casein sensitivity), limited eggs, limited yeast (bread)
