thanks cemc and jeanne,
seems like there's a lot more to this celiac / gluten sensitivity stuff than initially meets the eye.
i have a new doctor that knows i've already had the biopsy and antibody and gene blood work but just had me get blood work done for yet another antibody for celiac.
its all very interesting.
i really am mostly gluten free these days anyway since i'm low starch anyway. most of my starch comes from root veggies and beans. the less complex carbs i eat other than beans, the better my blood sugar. so sort of by default, i'm eating very little gluten. can't say i feel any different than my blood sugar being better. GI issues and arthritis really about the same either way.
i just like when studies show how we need to change our thinking. and this was a good one to remind patients and doctors that just because tests show one thing, doesn't mean that's the whole story. negative data is never as good as positive data at being convincing, as you said cemc.
