Today was a little more busy, and I had some trouble making time to post in my journal, so I am posting this evening when not everything from the prior day is fresh in my mind. However, I can say with confidence that I stuck to the diet faithfully.

LAST NIGHTS SLEEP AND PAIN REPORT
Almost "ache" free this morning. I would like to define the difference between "pain" and "ache". Some mornings, I can ache without moving my back and it causes me the need to get out of bed and start moving around. Aching is a dull sensation which is very uncomfortable.

However, pain is different in that I have to bend my back into the stiffness to find the painful area, and it is a bit sharper sensation.

This morning, aching seemed minimal - less than before. I still had some pain which I could find by bending into affected areas of the low back.

Stiffness seemed consistent with what I have experienced since before the diet - not extreme, just persistent and "there".

Overall, I was pleased with the way I felt this morning. It certainly was not worse, and continues to feel like an improvement.

10/19/2014 FOOD JOURNAL

More of the same. Lots of walnuts, Trader Joe's coconut chips, and buffalo steak leftovers. Other items also, but I was not great journaling yesterday, so I can't recall the details this evening as I try to post this before bed.

10/19/2014 EXERCISE JOURNAL

Hiked up to Opal Creek in the Cascade Foothills - about 6 miles round trip. Felt notably limber. This hike is not uncharacteristic for my usual summer weekend trip, but my back did feel particularly limber.

10/20/2014 EXERCISE JOURNAL

About 20 laps this a.m. Back felt better than prior swims. Everything is feeling more limber.
