Thank you all so much. I value each of you tremendously. Today my hubby and I spent all afternoon at the Rheumatologist's office. Maybe it isn't such a good thing to have our appts at the same time. :o) The dr. said my foot pain is all arthritis and not a lot we can do since I can't take the arthritis medications. Then we talked about some problems that I have been having and he got concerned about vasculitis again and said that maybe I feet would get better after all if we have no choice but to try one of the meds again. He said we are just weighing things to figure out where the best help and least problems come in.
I am afraid my pain is going to get worse because he sees the need to taper my Prednisone very slowly because of the intestinal and skin thinning. He said that is almost a necessity but will make my back and foot pain worse. Unless it is too late to heal my intestines and then the Pred dosage will go the other way.
Weird weird conversations we had today. :o) I don't know if I made any sense in my explanation. It is just that now he thinks the thing to do is decrease the Pred but it may end up that what we have to do is increase the Pred.
Hubby's MTX was increased again and he was put on a Pred taper. (I may get the tree up this week with him on Pred.!!) :o)
Thank you all for your encouragement and concern.
Hugs.
