The Enbrel package contains the syringe with the needle. I believe the needle can not be separated from the syringe. I have to look at the container to see if there is a place to break off the needle. If that's the case yes, the container will last a long time. I just checked and the instruction says to dispose of the syringe and needle into the container. I have a square box container and one that I had recieved with the initial box from the rhuemy that contained a bottle shape plastic container. Anyway, you will see what I am talking bout when you received Enbrel meds.... I just injected my fourth injection and It went smooth. Good Luck.... (See attachment)
