Hey there Ray!

What a sweet message, thank you . But I have to tell you the pleasure was all mine. It felt like we were talking for 10 minutes, but I got off of the phone and it was an HOUR later! How did that happen?

It was so nice to speak with you last night - I've been thinking alot lately about why it is so nice to speak to other ASers. When things are bad with my disease I cant find the words to talk about it with my family. Literally! I just dont have the vocabulary to discuss it. I feel like placing my hands over my ears and running away. Yet, I was able to put sentences together on the phone with you last night - and with all of you here. What is the difference?

I wonder if the difference is in the things that arent said. The way that each nuance of the disease DOESNT have to be describe. The pitying glances that ARENT given. The COMFORTABLE silences.

I'm not really saying anything new here - just restating that it's nice NOT to be alone.

Anyhow Ray, I'm very glad that you 'let the cat out of the bag'. The first ever Winnipeg ASKicker's Meeting --- I know it's short notice, but everyone is welcome!!!! I'm looking forward to meeting you and Carol on Wednesday night - you'll get me all warmed up for Toronto partying .
